Agricultural Council of California
Overview
The Agricultural Council of California, known as Ag Council, advocates for California farmers and agricultural businesses on state legislative and regulatory issues. Based in Sacramento, it represents more than 15,000 farmers, from farmer-owned businesses to well-known brands, through legislative advocacy, issues analysis and regulatory work on topics such as water supply and climate reporting. Its newsletter and podcast keep members and the public up to date on bills and state policy. Ag Council has also worked with regional coordinators to deliver the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Specialty Crop Workforce Development Program, which connects employers, students and educators. Farmers and agricultural businesses can join through its membership application.
