Overview

California State University, Chico, known as Chico State, is a public university whose College of Agriculture provides agricultural education, research and support for farmers and ranchers in northern California. Students can earn bachelor's degrees in agricultural business, agricultural science, animal science, and plant and soil science, with hands-on learning at the University Farm, and a master's degree in regenerative agriculture. The college's Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems gives farmers and ranchers technical assistance, including conservation and grazing plans and help applying for conservation funding, and offers professional courses. Students can connect through the College of Agriculture, and farmers and ranchers can request technical assistance from the center.
