Siskiyou Economic Development Council

Siskiyou Economic Development Council (SEDC) is a Yreka-based nonprofit, established in 1985, that helps Siskiyou County communities support local business and attract investment. It hosts the Shasta-Cascade Small Business Development Center, which provides no-cost small business advising in Siskiyou, Shasta and Trinity counties, and it works directly with businesses looking to locate in Siskiyou County. Through its Siskiyou Farm Co. program, farms, ranches and food businesses can get no-cost expert consulting, along with trainings and help reaching new markets. SEDC also administers a CDFA-funded Healthy Soils block grant that funds soil health practices on Siskiyou County farms and ranches (applications for the current round are closed), and its 2025 impact report says it secured California Jobs First funding to launch a Siskiyou Mobile Irrigation Lab that will provide on-farm assessments and water-use efficiency tools. Businesses can call or email the Yreka office, small businesses can enroll as SBDC clients online, and farm and food businesses can reach Siskiyou Farm Co. through its contact page.
